GCI works with golf trick shot world record holder David Edwards
Golf Communications International (GCI) is pleased to announce that it will represent the internationally renowned golf trick shot maestro and world record holder David Edwards.
The former European Tour player has built a reputation as the world’s most amazing trick shot artist and has become a mainstay of golf tournaments and shows around the world.
GCI, which already works with a selection of golf resorts across Europe, will be assisting David with media handling and helping to further enhance his profile.
Familiar to many as the “scissor shots guy”, David holds the world record for using clubs in both hands to hit 312 golf balls in three minutes. Specialising in amazing feats of timing and accuracy, David performs an array of golfing stunts such as hitting a ball from the mouth of a member of the audience lying on the ground.
Having performed in 20 different countries including recent trips to China, Brazil and the United States, David has appeared on many different TV networks including the BBC, SKY and the Golf Channel and featured in publications including Golf World, Today’s Golfer, National Club Golfer and Links Golf.
David said, “I am pleased to be working with GCI and believe that we can make use of our respective contacts in the golf industry to raise awareness of the services I can offer and entertainment value of golf trick shot shows.”
Helena Woodcock, chief executive of GCI, said, “This is an exciting opportunity to work with one of the most entertaining characters in the golf industry. David is a well known figure having played on tour and appeared at shows all over the world. We will be working hard to further develop his profile and promote his shows to potential new clients.”
The highlight of a busy schedule for David this year will be performing at the Ryder Cup at Celtic Manor from September 28 to October 3. For more information visit: www.david-edwards.co.uk
