How was 2010 PGA Show in Orlando?
8. 2. 2010
Simply great! Even though considerably smaller than in the previous years as reported by many of the regular attendees, the PGA Show proved to be the hot spot and a must visit event for those working in the golf industry. Not only that it keeps you up to speed with the latest development in terms of golf equipment but it is well attended by press, golf celebrities and also provides a great educational platform in the form of seminars running throughout all the three days of the show.
GCI attended several of the seminars primarily focused on PR and marketing and found them to be informative as well as stimulating. Great deal of time during many of them was devoted to the phenomenon of social media with most of the speakers being in favour of them and strongly encouraging the PGA professionals to use them actively to generate business as well as contacts. Majority of the speakers believes that what used to be a pass time activity has now become an essential part of the business noone can exist without any longer. Well, speak to you on Facebooks, LinkedIns and Twitters then !
